Why I Need Your Support

The U.S. government is the only country that does not fund its athletes. The sport of aerial skiing is no exception. It is also a common misconception that once athletes make it onto the US Ski Team, they will have all of their expenses payed for. However, this is only the case for some of the top few athletes on the A Team. My ultimate goal is to make it to the A team but until then, I am responsible for all of my expenses as a C Team Athlete. These expenses include training, competing, traveling and gear and add up to over $20,000 a year! This does not even include the expenses of living on my own.

My mom and three brothers currently live in Salem, OR. In order to pursue my dreams of making it to the 2018 Winter Olympics, I moved out to Park City, UT at just 13 years old. This has meant paying for separate housing from my family and paying for online schooling for high school, since I could not attend regular public school. As a full time athlete and now student at the University of Utah, I do not have the ability to get a normal job to be able to pay for all of my expenses on my own right now. Thus, my mom has been my main supporter throughout this journey. With three other brothers though, this only covers a portion of the financial support I need for this upcoming season. Every dollar donated will go directly towards my expenses as a US Ski Team athlete including training, competing, traveling and gear.
